Silver buttonwoo shrub in a bed on our lanai has recently started dropping leaves apace: leaves turn olive-colored with brownish irregular spots, then yellow, then drop off; plant has been very healthy until now, and is still putting out healthy-looking new growth, but is becoming defoliated lower down. This should be a no-care/low-care plant: what can be wrong? 3 pics in my photo gallery, please look. Thanks for any help!

I am thinking this is of the sycamore tree family? If it is a deciduous plant, then it would be normal for leaves to drop at some point.
